For all of humanity It explores what would have happened if the World Space Race had not ended. The series presents an ambitious world where NASA astronauts, engineers, and their families find themselves at the center of extraordinary events seen from an alternate timeline perspective – a world in which the Soviet Union outperforms the United States on the Moon.
Season Two begins a decade later in 1983. It is the height of the Cold War, and tensions between the United States and the Soviet Union are at their height. Ronald Reagan is the president, and the grand ambitions of science and space exploration are in danger of squandering as the Americans and the Soviets compete head-to-head for control of the resource-rich sites on the Moon. The Department of Defense has moved to mission control, and the militarization of NASA has become central to the stories of many characters: some fight it, some use it as an opportunity to advance their own interests, and some find themselves at the height of the conflict that could lead to a nuclear war.
For all of humanity It stars Joel Kinman, Michael Dorman, Sarah Jones, Chantelle Van Santen, Raine Schmidt, Jodi Balfour, Chris Marshall and Sonya Walger.
The series was created by Moore, Ben Nedivi & Matt Wolpert. The three executive products along with Tall Ship Productions’ Golden Maril Davis. For All Mankind is produced by Sony Pictures Television.
