David Boreanaz is the last to speak in support of his predecessor Buffy the Vampire Slayer She co-starred with Charisma Carpenter, after allegations of abuse and “misconduct” by Joss Whedon in the supernatural series.
“I am here for her to listen and support you,” Borinaz wrote on Twitter on Sunday. “I am proud of your strength.”
Carpenter replied, “I know you are there for me, David. I particularly appreciate everything you’ve done to prove this support particularly well. Especially since Wednesday … Thank you very much.”
Boreanaz raised her mind after Carpenter said last week that she was backing actor Ray Fisher, who accused Weedon of being “rude, offensive, unprofessional and totally unacceptable” to him and the others on the set of the Warner Bros’ Justice League movie.
Boreanaz starred in the lead role of Angel In Al-Shahba From 1997-2003 and episodic Angel From 1999-2004.
In her post last week, Carpenter shared her own story of alleged misconduct by Whedon, who she said contacted her when she was pregnant, and asked if she was planning to keep her baby during a private meeting.
Carpenter wrote, “Weedon proceeded to attack my character, ridicule my religious beliefs, accuse me of sabotaging the show, and then unofficially kick me out the following season as soon as I was born.”
Carpenter said Whedon “ has a history of being casually cruel ” and abused his power to manipulate people on the set of the TV show.
Whedon representatives have not commented on Carpenter’s accusations Al-Shahba Graduate student Michel Trachtenberg.
