Greg Coleman Joins Amazon Studios As Global Head of Franchise Marketing, Will Lead ‘Lord Of the Rings’ Campaign – Deadline


In Ukonwa Ojo’s first major hiring since joining Amazon Studios as Chief Marketing Officer at Prime Video, she appointed Greg Coleman of Disney as Global Head of Marketing for the Franchise. It will start on March 1, and will report to Ojo.

In the new role, Coleman will lead the Amazon marketing team dedicated to beginners from fiction and science fiction for both series and movies. Coleman and his team will create marketing campaigns and lead the global expansion of fantasy and science fiction brands, including upcoming brands. Lord of the Rings series.

Coleman joined Amazon from Walt Disney Animation Studios where he most recently held the position of Vice President of Global Marketing and Franchise Management. During his tenure, Greg helped launch such successful films as Frozen And the Frozen 2, # 1 and # 2 animated film in box office history, with the original movie also winning an Academy Award for Best Animated Film of the Year and Best Written Music Achievement for Motion Picture (the original song).

Previously, Coleman held senior positions in the global marketing and research strategy of The Walt Disney Studios Motion Pictures. Prior to joining Disney, he worked at MGM Studios in Marketing Strategy and Research.
